Day 3

Haiti Bake

We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated money and baking for the bake sale.  We collected $671.71 for the people of Haiti.  This is wonderful!!!  A donation has been made to the Canadian Red Cross and the Canadian Government will be matching this amount.  Thank you once again for your support to this worthy cause, we couldn’t have done it without you!!

Thank you to all who supported the float fundraiser today.  We made a profit of almost $200.00.  A special thank you to Wynne and the custodial staff for all of their  help today.  We truly are a small school with a big heart.  Our money will be forwarded with the elementary bake sale money to Red Cross tomorrow so will be in time to be part of the federal government’s promise to match all donations.  Yeah!   Patricia

No unusual absenteeism to report.

When a report of unusual absenteeism is received, the school contacts public health for expert advice and direction.  Public health will tell the school if any changes need to be made to reduce the spread of infection, and the school will inform parents of these recommended changes.

It is important to note that absenteeism reports may not be because of the flu.  Absenteeism may be related to other medical or non-medical reasons.

For more information on how to reduce your risk of H1H1 flu, visit www.manitoba.ca/flu
